But seriously, this has been such a wonderful experience getting this flick in front of people for the first time. Perfessor Bill’s reaction sums it up, “The audience has always been an entertainer’s best friend, and shall remain so evermore, particularly after the last two weeks. Score.”

Plus, I mean, the contest! It’s what the movie is all about. Saturday and Sunday will feature the world’s finest going finger-to-finger for the old-time piano playing title. Wouldn’t miss if I were you. Check out all the events and info at the contest web site. We’ll see you there.

Scott Joplin Festival – We’re coming to Missouri! And to the terrific 4-day ragtime celebration in Sedalia. We’re set to play Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church in Sedalia, Mo. Come for the movie, stay for a ton of ragtime all weekend long. Adam Swanson, Bill Edwards, and Faye Ballard will be there with many, many more.

Ragtime to Riches Festival – Our star Jim Boston hosts the 8th Annual R2R Festival in Omaha. Sandwiched between performances by Jim and others, we’ll play Sunday, July 8th at 4:15 pm in Memorial Hall in the First Central Congregational Church in Omaha, Neb. Come support Jim and the Great Plains Ragtime Society.

On radio, Ethan, Jim, and Michael were interviewed by KFAI radio in Minneapolis. This one also features music from Ethan and Adam. (Our segment starts 17-mins in.) And Faye and Michael did this interview in for WORT radio in Madison.

It’s true. Improbably.

Although if you had a chance to make it to one of our screenings this weekend, this is probably all your fault. (And we thank you for that!)

We played for two packed houses on Friday and Saturday, and what we got was laughs in all the right places, genuine applause for the onscreen piano performances, and a couple of standing ovations for Jim, Faye, Bill, and Ethan, who got to soak up the spotlight and represent our movie in all the best ways.

The outpouring of support after the shows was pretty inspiring. We got some good questions from the crowd (one of our Q&A’s is pictured above). The festival threw us a piano party on Friday. And we just had an out-and-out blast hanging out together and enjoying the experience. (We gotta say though that Four Arrows and Adam and producers Charlie and Seth were truly missed!) A gigantic thank you goes out to the Wisconsin Film Festival and everyone who came to the shows and turned The Entertainers into the award-winning Entertainers. It could not have gone any better.

The Festival will announce their full lineup on their web site this weekend, and tickets will go on sale April 5th.

We are so jazzed to be able to show the movie off to our friends, family, and the public in Minnesota. And, like Wisconsin, Ethan Uslan, Bill Edwards, and Jim Boston are planning to join us too. There will be some piano playing before and Q&As after both shows. We would love to see you there with us. It’s going to be a lot of fun.

The Entertainers will be appearing at this year’s Wisconsin Film Festival, which runs April 18-22 in Madison, Wisconsin. We are thrilled to be screening the movie twice on Friday, April 20th at 9:30 pm at the Chazen Museum of Art and on Saturday, April 21st at 1:30 pm at the UW Cinematheque in Vilas Hall. Joining us at both screenings will be four of our stars: Faye Ballard, Jim Boston, Bill Edwards, and Ethan Uslan. We will all be introducing the flick and doing a Q&A after each screening.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 31st online at the festival’s web site. If you think you might be able to join us, order early. The festival is hugely popular in Madison and well-known for its fast sellouts. Madison is also the home of two of our producers, Nick and Paul, who are very excited to be playing host for all who are coming for the fun.
